Skillz – 2012 Rap-Up

Skillz decided to release his final album, Thoughts Become Things, a few days ahead of schedule. The album’s closer track is the always anticipated year end “Rap-Up.” This year, he fits into the ratchet production and spills out a lot of events that occurred, some memorable and some terrible. Things that are music related and not like same sex marriage, Chris Brown and Drake’s “fight,” Stevie J’s face and much more. Shouts to Miss Info. Well, it seems like Skillz will be ending the year with more than just a “Rap-Up.” Thoughts Become Things has a December 26 release date now. This is also his final album. It’s a sad thing to see, and hopefully this doesn’t stick. Features include Planet VI, Carmael, Joe Tann and more. Shouts to Lowkey. Previously: Skillz – Bring The Sparklers Out

Skillz isn’t looking to set off the biggest bang with his first single. However, sparklers are going to attract some listeners and they’ll definitely be in for a show. The ghostwriter’s last album, Thoughts Become Things, will be out in 2013. That’s where we’ll get the bang. Previously: Skillz Ft. Cam Wallace – Little Did They Know Freestyle Follow @SermonsDomain

In Hip-Hop, even if the initial to a potential hit record is turned down by the listener, it always finds a way to keep creeping up to wear down the guard. It can be by your favorite rapper hopping on the song or radio/clubs putting it in rotation. Whatever the case, King L’s “Val Venis” is one of those songs. With assistance from Cam Wallace, VA’s own Skillz wraps a verse to the infectious and simple production. Skillz Ft. Thoughts Become Things. A fitting title for the legend known as Skillz final album in the game. In this clip, he discusses what it’s like to be on his last album and the origins of said title. Hearing any rapper that is good doing their last album is saddening, especially for someone as talented as he is to never get the proper credit he deserved, outside of the yearly “Rap-Up” joints. From the video, it sounds like everybody can expect a great end to the album career of Skillz. Previously: Video: Skillz & Maino – MTV Rap Fix Freestyle
