Preach On, Sermon: Lil Wayne's Cry To The World

Lil Wayne - Amen (Cry Out) The life of a big-time celebrity doesn’t equal a care-free world. B.I.G. said it best with “mo money, mo problems”. It’s not just the money that brings forth problems. Your environment plays a good role, and this is something Lil Wayne always knew and displayed ...

SD Exclusive: John Payne (Death Row President) Discusses Tupac Album & Upcoming Releases

Photo credit: Tony Morrone. If there’s one legacy on the West Coast that describes the 90’s, it’d have to be Death Row Records. From Tupac to Snoop Dogg, that label was the birth of several stars and legends. However, for every good part of Death Row, there’s a bad part to ...

Review: Ace Hood's Neumos Show In Seattle (1-6-12)

All Photos Credit: Deonte Daniels A good show is often similar to cooking a meal. Too many elements go into making sure that you eat and enjoy it. Things like being organized, having all the ingredients, cooking it at the right temperature, and time, and serving it. It’s difficult to serve ...

Posts tagged ‘Ray J’

Ignoring his petty beef with Loso and his comedic Money Team statements, Ray J is still a good artist. This single proves it. Below is a new version of the song with a new Kid Ink verse that reflects the video. After hearing this, I’m hoping these two do that collaboration project. Directed by Alex [...]

It took a minute but Ray J and Kid Ink got all the components for his latest single off a possible collaboration project . Through the lens of Alex Nazari, we get a cool behind the scenes look at the set and various shots for the day. Kid Ink has a new longer verse too. A [...]

Berg and Ray J reunite for another steal-yo-girl concept record. Warning: autotune is present but you should already expect that. This isn’t bad. Mo Money, Mo Condoms coming Monday, June 20. Thanks, A-Lox. Yung Berg Ft. Ray J – Drop It (Hulkshare) Previously: Yung Berg Ft. Sammie – Burning Bridges

One guess what this record is about. That’s right and who better than Ray J and Rico Love to sing about the good art of sex? Besides the whole “sex is bananas” concept (I never understood or liked the comparison), he’s got a solid single for RAYdiation 2. Shouts to P. Smirf. Ray J Ft. [...]

It turns out this record is going to be on RAYdiation 2. DJ Ill Will and R. Hustle films gives you an inside look in that studio session for “Yesterday.” I still stand by what I said about the record. Previously: Game Ft. Ray J – Yesterday (Untagged)

With Game promising R.E.D. will end out the summer (according to Jimmy Iovine meeting), here’s some more material that won’t make the album. Thank god it won’t be because this is not the Jayceon we love. I always seem to hear these type of records and think they fit a lot of artists way better. [...]

Ill Will said that Ray J and Kid Ink were in the studio recently and did three good records — this one being the first. This is a great club/party record. RAYdiation 2 is coming soon with DJ Ill Will. Ray J Ft. Kid Ink – Drinks In The Air (Prod. By Kajmir Royale) (Hulkshare) [...]

Yung Berg’s fame rose when he had collaborated with Ray J for “Sexy Can I” three years ago. The two ladies men make something mean for the club. If this was a follow-up single from their first collabo, it would be striking gold with the public. I feel like this will be overlooked though. Shouts [...]

Mixtape: Ray J – UnderRAYted

November 28th, 2010

Usually I’m opposed to anything with Ray J on it. However, in this case, he’ll get some love as he has Gucci, Ludacris, R. Kelly and more on the tape. This is a collection of recently released features, classics (as Ill Will put it) and new remixes.

It doesn’t matter how stupid the concept is, E-40 can turn it around with his dope raps and slang. Yes, I’m calling this song a stupid concept. Ray J and his phrase are heavily annoying. Snoop and Forty’s conversation toward the end is priceless though. Revenue Retrievin’: Overtime & Graveyard Shifts due out this February. [...]
