Better late than never. Lloyd, Trigger and Jeezy (and a bunch of women) finally were able to get together for their cut off Young Goldie’s King Of Hearts. While we’re at it, TM 103 is out tomorrow. I always liked Lloyd’s verse, but the others not so much.

The Young Goldie was in NYC for the release of King Of Hearts. ThisIsRNB captured footage of him signing autographs, taking pictures and kissing babies at J&R Music. King Of Hearts is in stores and online now. Easily one of the best R&B albums of 2011 and should be getting a lot more love.

Stand Out Tracks: “Dedication To My Ex” Ft. Lil Wayne & Andre 3000: Have you ever heard of a rapper getting Weezy to narrate their song?? This dude Lloyd didn’t want no verse. He said, “Wayne, just put some ad-libs and talking on this.” On top of that, the concept is bananas. Only he could rap about an ex’s pussy and it turn into a hot track. Oh, I didn’t even mention that 3 Stacks delivers his yearly nomination for verse of the year.

“Lay It Down”: A year later and it still sounds fresh. I still need to sing this to a girl too. That is, after I get a new bed with some nicer looking pillows. The struggle. Ha.

“Cupid” Ft. Awesome Jones: I originally didn’t like this record very much when it first came out for some odd reason. It sounds a lot better to me with time. When he hits the hook, it’s great.

“Naked”: This is that foreplay music. You in the mood, she in the mood. Turn this record on and slowly undressed while you sing this in her ear. Then, proceed to do what it do. You can even let the album spin.

Down Sides: Despite “Be The One” having such an infectious sound and hook, none of the verses were really memorable. That chorus on “Luv Me Girl” is the worst on the project. Doesn’t Vega sound like Keri Hilson as well? The order of the album is like “Naked,” “Jigsaw” and then Tity Boi pops up on “Bang.” You can’t be making love and then hear Two Chainz. Salo’s verse is pretty odd fitting in it as well.

Final Word: The diversity and utilization of Polow Da Don’s production make KOH in the running for R&B album of the year. The good outweigh the bad by a long shot. As much as I hated the wait, Lloyd delivered!
