Kid Ink is on his sophomore album. Full Speed is the predecessor to My Own Lane. One thing that is appreciated is the album titles (and if you wanna get more in-depth, the mixtape ones too) all fit into one central theme. The debut album was Ink finding what works best for him, while this latest effort is him improving upon his style. While there isn’t a bigger hit single to reinforce that, the album is a huge step up. If RCA spun a wheel with most, if not all, the song titles to determine the next single, it’d be… continue reading
Kid Ink’s “Body Language” is slowly picking up like all of his singles have in the past. Trust that we’ll be seeing and hearing more of it in the months to come. As with everything in the music industry, it’s all about what’s next. His sophomore album was revealed as Full Speed today. It’s a sort of continuation in the theme that he presented with My Own Lane. Expect the album to be out February 3, but that’s not all. The future superstar has been on the road quite a bit, hence a lack of music. So, he pairs up his… continue reading
Kid Ink’s career has been a slow burner. Since he made his first steps into the industry, he has built up his name over the course of three mixtapes, various records and a lot of videos before releasing his independent debut album, Up & Away, in June 2012. Touring followed. After selling 20K (total is close to 50K) out the gate, he released one more mixtape before announcing his signing to RCA Records in 2013. More touring followed, then his Almost Home EP was released to retail. It was merely a taste of what was to come. On January 7,… continue reading
Following his RCA Records debut, Kid Ink is living the life. A #1 single with “Show Me,” 50K sold in his first week and an upcoming tour with Los and Bizzy Crook (dates can be found after the jump). Things can’t get much sweeter at the moment. Or can they? We could have predicted a remix for “Show Me” would arrive. With 2 Chainz, Juicy J and Trey Songz lending their talents to the DJ Mustard-produced record, this is a pretty hot remix. “West Coast back like ’94,” Ink proclaims on the opening verse (and he isn’t lying). Trey’s portion consists… continue reading
Having a successful run as an independent artist, Kid Ink signed to RCA Records early 2013, got the ball rolling with an EP and toured all throughout. For the first big album release of this year, My Own Lane aims to please the mainstream, get you dancing and, of course, provide entertainment in the car, club, headphones, etc. He gets features from Chris Brown, Tyga, Los, MGK, Maejor Ali and more. Stream below, then get the album for only $7.99 on iTunes.
The pre-order of My Own Lane has went up on iTunes. With it comes four singles, two of which we’ve heard already. “Iz U Down” is a sexual orgy of separate ideas from Kid Ink and Tyga. “No Miracles” seems like the next single to push after “Show Me.” Ink is off to a good start and the finish line isn’t too far away (January 7). Single artwork for “No Miracles” after the jump if it’s needed. Previously: Kid Ink Ft. Los – No Option Follow @SermonsDomain
