Fresh off the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, Iggy Azalea embarks on 2014 with an electrifying freestyle over Bro Safari and UFO’s nutty single “Animal.” Running merely three and a half minutes, the budding Aussie rap sensation confidently weaves in and out of utter craziness with a pretty enjoyable 16, and the rest is history from there. Keep an eye out for Iggy, as her sophomore album The New Classic is set to drop sometime this year; hopefully sooner rather than later. Check out the freestyle below. Death Proof, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and Priscilla Queen of the Desert have all inspired Iggy Azalea’s “Work” video. The lead single off The New Classic is very appealing to the male audience. What male doesn’t/won’t enjoy watching Iggy give a lap dance and twerk? She’s been recording this debut album in London over the last couple months, so we can expect to hear it in 2013 at some point. Previously: Iggy Azalea – Boss Lady Follow @SermonsDomain
Empowering women seems be the route for Simone “Boss Lady” Amelia, as she looks to Iggy Azalea for an exclusive appearance on her upcoming mixtape, Woman on Top. In classic Iggy flavor, we get a blend of hip-hop and dub-step that makes for a dope club joint. Look for this and more on Christmas Eve when the mixtape, Woman on Top, drops. The first lady of Grand Hustle continues to add to her resume with the release of her newest mixtape Trap Gold. Her 10-track project is stripped of features aside from the Juicy J-assisted “Flexin’ & Finessin’,” while all the production comes from Diplo and 1st Down of FKi and that means you’ll find a heavy electronic presence throughout the tape.
Iggy Azalea was beginning to do well with her rhymes, but falls a step back with “Bac 2 Tha Future.” The video is decent, pretty left-field and colorful. The song however is like how Rick Ross would construct a song if he was a woman. Trap Gold drops October 11. Previously: Iggy Azalea – Mercy (Remix) Follow @SermonsDomain
Tacking on a verse to Nicki’s “Mercy” remix, found on Dedication 4, Iggy Azalea gets pretty down, dirty and oddly great verse. Her sex lyrics seem to catch the most attention and also bring the best out of her. Lord didn’t have no mercy this time around. Iggy Azalea – Mercy (Remix) Previously: Iggy Azalea – Burgundy Shit
