DJ Capcom is celebrating his 19th 14th birthday today. In honor of it, Rocky and Cap decided to give us a little treat as we wait for The Diamond Life 2. Minnesota Nice consists of 11 songs and some we’ve already heard. Original music and freestyles just like any mixtape should be.

If you know anything about DJ Capcom, you know he was one of the DJs behind Mac’s first solo tape, The Jukebox. Cap reaches into his vast vault of unreleased/rare Mac Miller material for Black Friday. You’ll hear a ton of exclusive records from a couple years ago, including Mac’s first radio freestyle. You want [...]

It took all summer for Rocky to get The Diamond Life out. At least we’re starting the fall with a little bit of a breeze. A full 15 songs featuring features/production from Freeway, Drum Gang, TecBeatz and more. A lot of banging records on here. Three songs in and I’m liking it all so far.

DJ Capcom’s second song won’t be appearing on his upcoming EP. It’s just a dope warm-up cut that Sermon’s Domain is premiering. Ha. The message is clear: hustle on your own terms. The lyrics are on point. He’ll also be coming with a joint featuring Neako, Rocky Diamonds and Yung Brody in the next week [...]

Virginia Tech attendee Jeedy is doing his thing. With DJ Capcom and DJ Smiles, he tackles on a ton of instrumentals ranging from “T.R.O.Y” to “In The Morning” and anything in between. White rappers coming by the dozens and are sounding pretty good in 2011. Jump Around! One Night Stand

Mixtape: Tolly – Tollywood

December 2nd, 2010

A few dope joints along the way have definitely put Tolly on my to listen list. Keep your eyes on Tolly. I promise this man is going to be bigger in 2011. Tity Boi and Gorilla Zoe make appearances on this mostly original production tape. Stream one of my favorites “Okay” and “Late Night Trappin’” [...]

Young Rocky has popped up with a few videos leading up to his DJ Capcom tape. They’ve gotten good responses so check out his new project.

It feels like Mobbin’ Season every day as the world gets more violent and restless. They say music can calm the mind but will Big Al’s latest project with DJ Capcom cure riots or merely incite them. The question lies within your headphones. Grab it after the jump.
