The one thought that comes to mind when listening to Cap. 1’s Caviar Dreams is why another free project? At this point, Cap could easily put out a retail album and he deserves the purchase too. He’s been killing it lately. On this one, he recruits 2 Chainz, Ty Dolla $ign, Ace Hood, OJ Da Juiceman and more. A couple stand outs include “Flippa,” “They Know” and “Rotation.” Stream and download below.
Just last month Jermaine Miller, formerly known as J Money, shared his jolting single titled “Flavor Flav,” which rightfully turned some heads. And, today, with his forthcoming mixtape Who’s Jermaine Miller inching closer to the homestretch, the ATLien returns with another Zaytoven produced-banger “Big Work.” Give the Cap.1 & Ca$h Out featured-cut a spin below. Kicking off in February, Chicago native Cap 1 will join his good friend 2 Chainz on his 2 Good 2 Be T.R.U. tour, so really, right now isn’t a terrible time for Cap to get some new tunes out. Hittaz, produced by Paris Beuller, surfaced a while back but here’s the CDQ version. Give it a listen below and grab some tour tickets here. Previously: Riff Raff & Cap-1 Ft. OJ Da Juiceman – Real Boyz (Prod. By Boi-1da and Ravioli Ryan OVO) Follow @Yancymckiddy
Riff Raff, you’ll never know what he’ll do next. Having Boi-1da and Ryan OVO handle the production, the icee chain rocking rapper teams up with Cap-1 and gets some ad-libs from OJ Da Juiceman (although a verse would’ve been pretty epic next to Jody’s). In case you needed another Miley twerk reference, Riff has you covered: “diamonds twerking on my wrist like Miley Cyrus.” The Neon Icon is coming out January 28. Marking the second single from B.O.A.T.S. 2: Me Time, 2 Chainz follows the recipe we all know him for: catchy hook (“I been getting money where the fuck you been?/ bought a nice crib just to fuck you in”), usual production (this time heavy in the bells) and some outrageous lyrics. Can “Where U Been” be a hit? Sure. It can easily surpass “Feds Watching,” but it’s still not up to par with what he can create. Cap. 1 also bodied it! Sophomore LP out September 10. June was supposed to see the release of Cap. 1’s Caviar Dreamz, but that came and went. Instead, the video campaign, one that’s been so strong already, for T.R.U. 2 It continues with “No Betta.” The crisp visuals sort of blend together with all the rest from the mixtape, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
