Ab-Soul Says Album Is Being Mixed; Speaks on His Favorite Albums of All Time

The promise of six albums this year from TDE has Mixed by Ali with his hands full. At the time of Bootleg Kev’s interview, Ab-Soul spills the beans saying that the untitled album is indeed in mixing stages. Statik Selektah also had a production credit on a record that’ll feature a “drop-in” from a currently jailed rapper. Who could that be? In this portion, he also shares his most underrated MCs of all time, growing up around a record store and possibility of an album with Danny Brown and ASAP Rocky. Down below, Ab-Dash shows us his Pete Rock-inspired tattoo… continue reading

Ab-Soul – Dub Sac (Prod. By Tae Beast & Dave Free)

Ab-Soul – Dub Sac (Prod. By Tae Beast & Dave Free)

Jay Rock’s “Numbers On The Board” set off this mini-TDE week yesterday. Ab-Soul rolls around and rolls up to the sounds of the Tae Beast and Dave Free-produced “Dub Sac.” It’s not Soulo’s best, but it certainly doesn’t disappoint. The production isn’t as gravitating as he usually chooses. His new project is coming in 2014. No rush needed. Previously: Black Hippy Covers XXL Magazine Follow @SermonsDomain

Chuck Inglish Ft. Mac Miller & Ab-Soul – Came Thru / Easily

Chuck Inglish Ft. Mac Miller & Ab-Soul – Came Thru / Easily

Ab-Soul is the new Eazy-E, Mac Miller is the new Ice Cube and that would make Chuck Inglish the new Dr. Dre. “Came Thru / Easily” is one record, the intro that’ll appear on Chuck’s upcoming EP, Easily. It’ll serve as a prelude to his debut album, Convertibles, not slated to drop until February 11. This track is pretty cold too. Peep the EP track listing after the jump. Previously: Demrick Ft. Ab-Soul, K-Boy & Tone Trump – Dreamin’ (Prod. By The Chromatix)

Ab-Soul, K-Boy & Tone Trump – Dreamin’ (Prod. By The Chromatix)

The origins of “Dreamin’” are unknown. Producer Meetro let it go via Twitter yesterday with no explanation other than he helped produce this one. As far as combination, Ab-Soul is the obvious draw but don’t count out K-Boy or Tone Trump. Bound together by a female’s hook, “Dreamin’” is a great motivational concept record.
