Danny Brown – Sweeney Song

Danny Brown – Sweeney Song

Danny Brown’s third studio album ‘Old’ constantly referenced a portion of homegrown fans that’s been begging Danny to go back to his old sound; that vintage J. Dilla Danny Brown. Regardless of what those particular fans thought about the album, it’s safe to say they were ecstatic when “Sweeney Song” surfaced today, a cut that Danny recorded prior to the release of his 2011 album “XXX.” The Mndsgn produced-joint is probably as unorthodox as anything you’ve listened to today but Danny absolutely destroys it. “Sweeney Song” will be featured on Classic Drug References Vol. 1, a box set sprung out… continue reading

Jay-Z – Dead Presidents 3 (Original Version)

Jay-Z – Dead Presidents 3 (Original Version)

When Jay-Z speaks, we all listen. So, when he went on a Twitter Q&A throughout the day, everybody was posted and awaiting to see a little bit of Hov’s personality online. One of the questions posed was about “Dead Presidents 3″ and if a finished version exists. He gave permission to Just Blaze or Young Guru to let it go, and the latter comes through. It may not hold the same impact as the first two, but this is still one hell of a record. The wordplay is too nice. Previously: Album Stream: Jay-Z – Magna Carta… Holy Grail Follow @SermonsDomain

Wu-Tang Clan – Execution In Autumn (Prod. By Frank Dukes)

Warn the people early: the Wu-Tang Clan is coming. And they’ve brought Samurai swords, straps and coat hangers that have been on stove for, like, 40 minutes. “Execution In Autumn” is an unreleased record featuring Inspectah Deck, Raekwon, RZA and U-God that serves as a teaser for A Better Tomorrow. Since Soul Temple Records love the customers, you can cop a vinyl of this single for next to nothing via their site. So many casualties. Wu-Tang Clan – Execution In Autumn (Prod. Lloyd Banks & French Montana – Can You Dig It?

Lloyd Banks & French Montana – Can You Dig It?

Lloyd Banks has a formula that requires months of waiting in anticipating for his mixtapes. He’ll announce them early, tease with a few records spread out over months and finally give us what we want. No clue on what stage Failure’s No Option falls under. In the mean time, enjoy this unreleased track from the PLK and French Montana. Dig that? Shouts to Splash. Lloyd Banks & French Montana – Can You Dig It? Previously: Havoc Ft. Estelle Ft. Common – Victorious (Unreleased)

Estelle Ft. Common – Victorious (Unreleased)

Some new yet vintage tunes from U.K. singer-songwriter Estelle and Chi-towns Common. Estelle’s vocals on this are tight from beginning to end. Here background vocals just float on the hook, as here and Common body this one. The foundation of the beat sounds like a Thank Me Later, “Find Your Love” throwaway that producer No I.D. scrapped together then brought brought back to life with a live band. All-around dope record. No clue why it was left off Estelle’s 2011 LP All of Me, but who cares it here now. Shouts FE. Estelle Ft. Common – Victorious Previously: Mixtape: Estelle… continue reading
