Easily one of the best collaborations between Eazy and Bone Thugs. I loved/still love every aspect of this record. Eazy’s verse was incredible and could still fit in with today’s music. Then, you know the Bone brothers did their fast paced thing. I do wish Eazy would’ve recorded more while he was alive.

Next to Hot 97, Wake Up Show has so many memorable freestyles. This has got to be one of the only Tech freestyles on radio ever that can be found. Although it’s short in length, Techa Nina gives that fast paced rap. I’ll have some more freestyles from the Wake Up Show as this weekend continues.

LL Cool J is one of the top 10 of all time for numerous reasons. So, in throwback freestyle day, I decided to grab this freestyle he did for Kay Slay. A veteran in the game. I didn’t fully discover Killer Mike’s abilities until his solo mixtape, I Pledge Allegiance To The Grind. Out of every track, this was definitely the most powerful because of what he had to say about Fema, Martha Stewart, Oprah and more. I love records where you know the artist didn’t give a damn about what anyone had to say. None of the grind tapes have disappointed and I’m prepared for the third installment this fall.

Before the Young Money days, around 2003, Gunz was ripping and shredding beats on his Apprentice series. Easily my favorite from Volume 1, Cor takes a chunk out of the hard to spit on “Notorious Thugs”. I think he went in. I know you’ll think the same. Go listen to the three volumes of The Apprentice. Definitely worth it.
