Kee’s deal is something that’s been earned as he’s worked hard in the Bay. Let’s hope this will propel him into a household name in the next few years. Hit the jump to read the press release and look out for two street albums this summer.

Previously: Video: Mr. Kee – Let It All Go

Everybody has ambitions to make it big. It’s evident with the rising amount of rappers in this game; some don’t understand what it takes. For Bay Area veteran Mr. Kee, he does. His buzz within the Bay has became at an all time high whether he was appearing on platinum and gold albums or topping charts out in the area.

H.V. Ent. and Sony took the interest in his work, signing him to a two album deal. He’s already working on the first, titled A God Amongst Men, for an early 2012 release. “The game is ready for me now,” he says about the album. “I’ve always been ready for the game, though.”

In honor of his new deal, he’s giving out two street albums this summer, Honey N Hustle and Born With The Siccness. The former will be more geared toward the ladies with club songs and smooth hooks they can enjoy, while the latter will satisfy his regular fans with street music. “All In All I do this for the fans and take their opinions and ideas to heart,” Kee adds about doing two diverse projects.

With a heated summer planned and a big release set for next year, it’s clear that the Bay Area has a shot at another superstar in Mr. Kee.

If that’s how you want to be remembered, it’s on you. No denying that Amalgam picked up one hell of a buzz artist. If you don’t feel like reading the press release, Angel’s Exodus drops January 18 digitally. Hit the jump for the rest of the press release and a small video of him talking about Amalgam.

After a year of leveraging his social networking platforms releasing highly controversial statements from his twitter account; threatening both Kanye West and comedian Lil Duval with rape; calling himself a “pretty b*tch”; starting and ending a dispute with Joe Budden; as well as flooding his fans with wide range of his “rare” music as free downloads via Hulkshare; and utilizing YouTube to unleash a massive influx of home grown videos such as “Looks Like Jesus”, “The Pretty B**ch is Back”, “Paris Hilton”, and “Ellen Degeneres”; it should come as no surprise that the self proclaimed Based God, Lil B takes his internet social savvy and signs to the pioneering new media outfit, Amalgam Digital. The rising entertainment company comprised of a destination site, major label roster, and distribution powerhouse is most known for launching Hip Hop’s first genre specific digital store, also serving as an open platform for all independent artists. In a short period of time, the company has dominated the independent sector showcasing it’s unique brand of artist development and has become a launching pad and label home to acts such as Joe Budden, Max B, Young Riot, Curren$y, Saigon, Peedi Crakk, Dj Benzi and many more.

Now that the ink is dry, Lil B The Based God will be releasing his first official digital-only solo album “Angels Exodus” on January, 18th 2010 as a prelude to his forthcoming “Glass Face” album, both on Amalgam Digital, which will handle the marketing and worldwide distribution of these releases exclusively.

Lil B – 30 Thousand 100 Million

Lil B’s albums will be made exclusively in the digital-only format and available at the www.AmalgamDigital.com online store. Regarding the nature of the releases and his relationship with his new label, Lil B made the following statement:

“This is Lil B. Shout outs to Amalgam Digital, they been ahead of this for a while. We are putting out these two albums called Angels Exodus and then Glass Face. It’s going to be historical works of art with these albums. On Angels Exodus it’s going to be real hiphop and sticking to the script. I’ll be going far outside of the boundaries and staying far away from the script too. The Glass Face album will live up to it’s name. These albums are something everyone will understand. They are the reason why I’m 10’ tall and everyone else is just 6’7’’…no diss. You know I love everybody” – Lil B The Based God

Lil B is widely recognized for his association as 1/4th member of The Pack, a rap group that was instrumental in ushering in the Bay Area’s “Hyphy” movement and most known for their hit song “Vans”. At the age of 19, Lil B was the first rapper to author a book, titled “Taking Over” which demonstrates his positive philosophy of “anything is possible”.

With the new media revolution in full force, and the backing of the digital music space innovators Amalgam Digital, Lil B is now poised to deliver his music and message to both the long time fans as well as the first time listener. Be on the look-out for leaks and videos from these upcoming projects.

The track listing is beyond crazy. Joe Budden, Talib Kweli and Sean Price record will be available September 28 on iTunes. Hit the jump to read the press release (and track listing), which includes a little biography information on him and how he landed the Eminem single (“We Made You”). Shouts to Matthew Conaway.

A bit of a transient, Doc Ish is from a little bit of everywhere. Born in Dallas, TX, then onto places such as Virginia, Brooklyn NY, Hartford, CT and everywhere in between. While it seems like he may have seemingly burst onto the scene like a comet thanks to wining a Grammy for producing Eminem’s “We Made You,” Doc actually signed his first deal as a senior in High-School and soon thereafter had the opportunity to work with artists such Heavy D, Kurupt and Foxy Brown to name a few as he developed his craft.

Since then, Doc has lost a lot of time, “years,” in regards to his music career. For years, he was jumping from doctor to doctor, hospital to hospital, trying to figure out why his health would take such dramatic shifts and leave him in at times in an almost debilitating state. Lying in hospital beds, with nothing but time on his hands waiting for his various health problems to be both diagnosed and treated, Doc’s health eventually got better and when it did, so did his hunger for making music. When Doc re-entered the scene in 2008, he did so with a renewed vigor and his networking lead to meetings with various artists, one of which, D-12’s Bizarre, would eventually change his world as he then knew it upside down. After recording sessions with Bizarre, Doc received a call from him that a certain Detroit superstar heard one of his tracks and immediately gravitated to it. That track was what you now know as “We Made You” the lead-single from Eminem’s Grammy award winning LP Relapse, which has since gone 2X Platinum.

Despite the overwhelming changes that have occurred since “We Made You” initially hit the masses, Doc Ish has remained humble and hungry throughout the process and is determined to capitalize on the opportunity and use it as a stepping-stone. The timing and subsequent spotlight that has been affixed to Doc’s back ever since was ideal for the forthcoming release of Doc Ish Presents: The First Treatment which will be released on 10-26-2010 via Universal Records.

The First Treatment includes a collection of iconic and legendary emcees that would make a major label blush, let alone one of an Independent nature. While tracks like “Cut My Throat” f/Saigon, INS Deck, Ransom and Quan and “Make Moves” f/Buckshot, Rockness (Heltah Skeltah) & Colloso have made an immediate impact on the urban blogosphere, fans are already salivating over the LP’s assortment of talent and eagerly awaiting to hear tracks such as the dream-team pairings of Talib Kweli, Joe Budden and Sean Price on “Is It A Dream” which will be available on iTunes starting on 9-28-2010, Crooked I and M.O.P.’s Billy Danze on “She Did It Again” and the pairing of Max B, Red Café and Quan on “These Streets.”

Doc Ish believes that music is cathartic and creating this project proves as much and The First Treatment is the next step in curing Hip-Hop’s ailments.

Well, congratulations are in order. Curtis has finally shown some sort of heart and released Buck from his binding contract. This means that The Rehab is dropping on September 7 for sure. Some people, including myself, have doubted Buck’s involvement so he recorded a short video backing it. There you have it. Go support him on September 7! After the jump is the press release written by Jonathan Hay.

(SACRAMENTO, CA) – September 7, 2010 marks the date that former G-Unit recording artist Young Buck releases his street album, “The Rehab.”

The streets, back roads and internet highways all around the world are all talking about “The Rehab” after the new leak of the song, “Hood Documentary” which finds Young Buck insistently talking to Curtis. Everyone knows that Young Buck is referring to Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent – who signed him and placed him in his multi-platinum, super group G-Unit.

David “Young Buck” Brown has sold over five million records worldwide as he took the world by storm by first appearing on 50 Cent’s “Get Rich or Die Tryin” debut album, which sold over ten million copies. Since then, Young Buck has released two solo albums himself, “Straight Outta Cashville” which has sold over two-million records worldwide and “Buck the World”, which debuted at #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and #3 on The Billboard 200 with sales of 143,000 the first week.

Young Buck has appeared on both G-Unit releases “Beg for Mercy” and “T.O.S: Terminate on Sight.” In addition to “Get Rich or Die Tryin” – Young Buck has appeared on 50 Cent’s chart-topping, record-breaking album “The Massacre” which sold a million copies in the first four days of its release, and he also appeared on “Curtis” which sold 691,000 in its first week.

After the release of “Curtis”, Young Buck and 50 Cent had a public falling out which lead to numerous diss records, slanderous comments in the media by all parties involved — and the infamous phone call between 50 Cent and Young Buck that was leaked to the world.

This new street album from Young Buck features 14 brand new tracks, which are all produced by Big Hollis, Cozmo and Vince V. This album has been highly anticipated for the last few years, with Young Buck stating to MTV that this album would sell over a million copies in its first week.

“The Rehab” is being released on September 7th by Real Talk Entertainment and is executive produced by its CEO, Derrick “Sac” Johnson, who had the following to say regarding its release: “We are very excited about working with Young Buck on this project. This project has been in the works for years, before 50 Cent and G-Unit. Young Buck is an international superstar and we are extremely proud to be releasing his street album, The Rehab.”

This is how North Carolina’s own Conrizzle likes to do it. Since A Breath Of Fresh Air, not many people have heard from him music wise. He’s keeping everything a secret for his currently untitled sophomore album. However, he promises his street single for September 14.

“’So Incredible’ is vintage Conrizzle. The song represents the celebration of the life of a young adult. It has all the ingredients of an infectious club record that can crossover to Top 40 as well. “

In addition to the album slated for October, he’s been on tour all around the East Coast performing in his home state, New York and even alongside Teairra Mari. While in NY, he’s had the chance to be in the studio working alongside the legendary Ski Beatz.

“It was a great experience. I learned a lot from Ski and got to see music in a different light. He’s motivated me to want to do more and capture any opportunity that comes my way”, he says about working with Ski.

Alongside Ski and fellow North Carolina rapper Ricky Ruckus, Conrizzle appeared in a recent commercial for the Ford Fiesta vehicle. Although in the actual video, they appear only for a few seconds, Rizzle was fortunate to score the entire music for it courtesy of an opportunity he got from his friend Winston.

With the commercial garnering over 90,000 views on Youtube, Conrizzle will appear in a Documentary showcasing West Coast music. Robert Moore caught a performance he did and decided to feature him in his upcoming untitled project.

“A while ago I was picked to produce and write the title track for a movie called “On Bloody Sunday”, which starred Danny Trejo. Once it was out, I was invited to the Red Carpet event to perform the track”, Conrizzle tells SD. “While I performed, Robert Moore was there shooting scenes for the documentary. He was enjoying my performance and wanted to use it in his Doc.”

His work ethic is one that most artists don’t have. Expect his currently third album, titled Perfectly Imperfect, to hit shelves and digital outlets on October 25, 2010.

I might check this one out. Hit the jump for the press release.

Still riding the wave of praise from his critically acclaimed debut album The Salvation on Jamla/Duck Down Music, Skyzoo has joined forces with highly regarded producer/beat smith Illmind (G Unit, Boot Camp Click, Red Man, Little Brother) for what will be an exciting producer/MC album.

Dropping on Duck Down Music in the Fall, the full length LP, ‘Live from the Tape Deck,’ will see the Brooklyn-based duo of Skyzoo and Illmind doing what they do best — dropping hard-hitting beats over ‘rewind factor’ rhymes. “It’s not rocket science,” says Skyzoo. “There won’t be any deep undertones or personal records like The Salvation; just dope beats and rhymes that’s better than everything else out.” And with a history of dope collabo joints in the bag and a chemistry that can’t be replicated, these two creative forces plan to present raw hip hop with a unique, cohesive sound only they can produce.

“Back in the day, it was always like that,” stresses Skyzoo. “When you look at Eric B and Rakim, EPMD, NWA, A Tribe Called Quest and groups like that — you had one producer with one sound and one theme. That’s what we plan to bring with this project.” But don’t get it twisted; Live from the Tape Deck isn’t a throw back to that 90’s sound. Skyzoo explains, “The reason it’s called Live from the Tape Deck is because when labels made cassette tapes, it just so happens that was when records were dope. Once the option of buying a cassette in a store was gone, that’s when things changed and music got whack.”

Illmind elaborates, “You know it’s not going to be some typical shit — it’s going to be honest. Not throwback. Not boom bap. It’s going to be some 2010 shit with one of the best MC’s in the game.”

Conrizzle Announces New Single Release

“I’m Winning” is scheduled to drop April 13

For immediate release:

Greensboro, North Carolina – April 1, 2010 – Only less than a week removed from receiving the honors award at North Carolina’s Music awards, Conrizzle is back to announce his new single from A Breath Of Fresh Air. Originally, the project dropped as a free download back in January, but he’s bringing it to iTunes. This time, he’ll be adding new music as well as touching up some of the songs from the free version.

The album’s first single titled, “I’m Winning” blends his signature production with his thoughts toward the way people change as you rise in the game. “It’s not only about me. It’s something that happens in everyday life, everyone is talked about at some point. I want to empower the listeners I want to show them that no matter what you may be going through in your life, in one way or another we are ALL winners”, says Conrizzle. “[I’m Winning”] could be the theme song for your dreams and your aspirations. It’s something you can play in the morning when you wake up or when you go to bed, or when you feel like you’re at your lowest point and the world is against you.”

A Breath Of Fresh Air will arrive on iTunes this June. It will be followed by a tour by the same title over the summer through North Carolina and South Carolina (subject to change).
