SOBs was sold out last night for the hottest rapper in the game. 2 Chainz blazed the stage, and RR made sure to give y’all a highlight video. In other Chainz news, he told XXL that he’s signing to Def Jam and discussed talking to Too Short after referencing him in a line. Def Jam has an interesting roster. I wonder why he didn’t want to stay independent.

“It’s the Real University, Two Gun Gang, Street Executives. It’s not DTP no more,” he says. “I’m actually behind [Ludacris], he’s still my homie. I just took another route as far as running my own company and bossing up. But on the other hand, I’m still working with him. He has an album coming out this year, as well. Matter of fact, we are label mates, now, which is crazy. So, yeah, that’ll be cool. I’m looking forward to that.”

ASAP Drizzy was brought out last night at Rocky’s big show in Toronto at Opera House. “Cameras” and that other record I can’t stand (see: “The Motto”) were Drake’s choice of cuts to perform. He also spent a few seconds to promote the upcoming Club Paradise tour starting next month. Shouts to Karla.

As a blogger, there are always the same venues across the United States that continue to pop up for obvious reasons. Out in Houston, The Warehouse is probably the most known. SCKnows was present when the Black Hippy crew (K. Dot and Schoolboy Q were the headliners but brought the whole crew) took over for what was described as one of the best shows out there in a while. There’s also some cameos from Bun B and Scarface.

The big bearded spitter stopped by Philly’s Tacony Billiards. While there, he spit a quick acapella, one of his newest records “Deebo” and the first verse of “Dirty Uggs.” That song is still really odd to me. The crowd seemed to get a good laugh. Charles Barkley coming in February.
