Marvel’s phase two is functioning on a two-a-year basis. With Iron Man 3 stepping up to bat first on May 3, Thor 2: The Dark World will be coming out in the fall on November 8. Malekith wants the world to experience nothing but darkness, but this doesn’t sit well with Thor, Odin or the Asgardians. We’ll see Thor reunite with his love interest, Jane Foster, and even team up with an unlikely ally toward the end of the trailer.
DC Comics may be in second place when it comes to actual movies, but they’re killing at animated films. Marvel has always kind of lacked in that department, despite releasing several from about 2006 to 2009. Ones like The Avengers, Planet Hulk and the crappy Iron Man movie had potential to be really great films, but the stories didn’t develop well. Hugh Jackson reprises his role as Wolverine in the next chapter of Logan’s life. After the events of X-Men: The Last Stand, he packed up and headed overseas to retreat to a peaceful Japanese environment. However, and of course, he doesn’t get the chance of tranquility and ends up battling many samurai and someone who emerges from his past. Skylar and Miles take out their buddy Jeff Chang on his 21st birthday, despite him having an important interview tomorrow, and what follows is a night of hilarity and a race to get him home in town. The Mandarin is unlike any villain that Tony Stark has ever faced. Sure, it’s easy to say that with each movie, but in the third trailer for Iron Man 3 we begin to see the chaos unfold. The two and a half minute trailer takes us more into Mandarin’s plan to destroy not only the Iron Man but his personal life too.
