Seems like he’s gearing up for a good 2012. Yes? No? We’ll see. Anyways, in the latest issue of Fader (thanks to Soul Culture on the heads up), 40 reveals that 3 Stacks is indeed featured on Take Care. If you remember, Drizzy wanted to get him on his debut album but never got the opportunity. Another person Drake expressed interest to was 9th Wonder. They did work together but in an interview with Page 31, 9th says he’s not likely going to make the final cut. Take Care is out November 15.

Drake was holed up in the studio with his producer/engineer, Noah “40″ Shebib, when he got a phone call from the acclaimed Outkast emcee, whose guest features are rare, but always on point. Drake had mentioned earlier in the year that André was one of the few rappers that he really wanted to get involved, but during this call it was André who said he wanted to be a part of Take Care. He specified that he wanted to get on a 40 beat. At the time, the instrumental slated for André was being called “Good Enough for The Both of Us,” but Drake called that a “shitty title,” so it will most likely get changed before the album drops.

P31: Like I’ve said, you find a way to keep ties with the younger generation. A track list has surfaced, and were not sure if it’s official or not but they say you’re on that Take Care project.

9th: I am not.

P31: Would you like to get on that Take Care project?

9th: It’s up to Drake man. You know its, it’s – I’ve never been one, after all the albums I’ve been on whether it be Jay’s, Destiny Child, Mary J Blidge, Erykah, Ludacris, Memphis Bleek, Lloyd Banks — all the records I’ve done on a major level, I’ve never slept outside somebody’s door with a demo cd. It’s always been 9th I want you to rock on my record. So maybe I’m spoiled, maybe whatever, but I am not into sitting down with an A&R and playing an A&R beats. Jay-z kinda ruined all of that because I dealt with him directly. If I dealt with him directly, I’m not about to play no beats for no A&Rs, that’s wack. I dealt with him directly; I sat with Beyonce for 3 hours and played her beats. Well played all 3 of them [Destiny’s Child] beats. It was just me and them. It wasn’t me, the A&R dude and them. I’ve dealt with everybody directly, so I’m passed that.

Tyrese’s Open Invitation and 2 Chainz’s TRUrealigion are both set to be out that day. Now, we can add the combination of French and Waka to the list. Mr. Montana spoke to XXL about the upcoming mixtape-album as well as Cocaine Mafia with Three 6 Mafia. This is going to be an interesting rest of the year for French. He also spoke about the Maybach Music rumors as well as who else is looking to sign him.

I’m dropping an album on November 1,” he said. “A street album with me and Waka Flocka. We did a joint album together. It’s called Lock Out. Then I have one done with Three 6 Mafia called Cocaine Mafia. Both of those albums are done. I’m aiming probably [to release the project with Three 6] right after me and Flocka drop. It’ll be this year.”

“We gonna drop singles outta it,” French said. “Me and Flocka gonna work ‘em. It’s probably a joint with me and him and Ross [as the first single], or a joint with me and Waka and Jeremih, or a joint where it’s just me and Waka. We’ll have a listening party where people pick which one. It’s more like a mixtape, but we call it a mixtape album.”

I honestly just don’t believe that the long awaited collaboration album with Juelz is going to come out. Juelz can’t even get his own material out. Hopefully, Wayne is really focused and dead set on getting the album out. I bet the YM album come before it since Mack also mentions they’re going to start recording for it soon.

“The next project he’s working on is I Can’t Feel My Face with [Juelz Santana],” Maine told XXLMag.com over the phone. “Elz is talented man. He’s a young legend. [Wayne’s] back working in the studio. He has that and the Young Money album.”

Update: Juelz Santana spoke to Vibe and says the album is definitely happening now.

“So you know —Me and Wayne actually talked and decided that it was the perfect time to get together. We just piecing together the music that we already had—that people ain’t hear— along with—he sent me about 8 new records.

We got a great relationship—whether the album was coming out or not—me and him would still be rocking hard. I think the people that want to hear that album want to hear just me and Wayne. I think the best thing for us to do would just be to get with some great producers.”

With this tape, he’s going to take his buzz to new heights. Mark your calendars for November 1. Sidenote: Who could the person on “Spend It (Remix)” be? For some reason, I think Andre 3000.

Update: Here’s the cover. That’s the definition of swag, right Dram?

“Religion is the study of belief and trying to find the truth,” he said about the mixtape’s concept. “T.R.U. can stand for anything from The Real University to anything I want it to be. I’ll be giving out scholarships to be this real shit. It’s a big concept and we going hard. A lot of these niggas used to be real and they dropped out, you feel me? Everybody can’t get a degree in this real shit. Everybody can’t get it, they gonna have to go to summer school. So T.R.U. REALigion, not only am I swagged up, but understand this has to do more than with some clothes.”

“I have Big Sean, Gucci [Mane], [Young] Jeezy and Birdman on the record,” he revealed. “I have a record I gave to Green Lantern to do his thing with Jadakiss. I got a couple surprise people that ain’t nobody in the world gonna believe been calling my phone. We’ve been talking about doing a remix to ‘Spend It.’ Won’t nobody in the world believe it. But I don’t like talking about the new Js until I’m in ’em.”

Well, Weezy settles the score with his verse on “It’s Good,” perceived as a whole subliminal verse. Vibe caught up with him briefly for his “safe” answer in regards to recording the verse.

“I know there won’t be any repercussions behind what I did,” says a confident Wayne when asked if he had second thoughts about recording his acidic verse for ‘It ‘s Good.’ “I know for a fact music is about perception.
Vibe just put up a snippet of their upcoming interview with Mr. Earl Simmons going live next week. Pretty shocking to hear him say that Ross was interested in bringing him aboard the team since he’s been scooping up a bunch of young talent. Considering how messed up DMX’s career has been in the past few years, it’d probably be in his best interest to join the MMG label despite his Illuminati claims (which are stupid BTW). Look for Darkman’s return next month when he’s out of prison.

VIBE: You got major labels interested?

DMX: Yeah. Actually, Rick Ross’ peoples wrote me a letter while I was in here.

What!

Yeah like ‘Yo we got a home for you. We’ll pick you up in a limo. Just come to Miami. Just come, we got you.’

Oh wow, have you thought about that?

I’m thinking about it. It was a good feeling. I respect him as an artist, and I would like to work with him. But he got the whole Illuminati thing going on. I got fans who write me like ‘I’m glad you’re not a part of that.’ And I don’t know what it’s really about entirely. So it might be like a good thing.

That’s crazy man. Because I don’t know if you heard but right now Rick Ross is on fire. Maybach Music Group signed up a whole bunch of people. Wale, Pill–and they’re really doing it man. That would be a crazy power move if you guys joined up.

Yeah. I have respect for him and he expressed interest that he wanted to work with me while I was out. So I definitely want do a song with him, but I don’t know about the record label thing. I would have to see what his camp is like and feel people out. I’m not the average artist.

He’s teaming up with lobbyist Matt Grey and the two will go before the senate to discuss prisoners getting rights like health care for instance. It’s a situation that hits G hard because in 2009, he lost his mother because of some health issues while she was serving a 20 year sentence. I wish them luck in succeeding.

Matt Gray says: “This is something that affects people’s lives in very realistic ways every single day. Unfortunately, we have an inmate dying from actual lack of medical care for no other reasons. [It’s] about one every six days. So the longer we wait, the more people needlessly die.”

In addition to fighting for the medical rights of inmates, Glasses will also be helping bus families to California prisons as a means of transportation for families wanting to visit inmates.

“Because I came up in the streets, I watched a lot of people who didn’t get a chance to see they loved ones and stuff because they parents didn’t have money to send them or go, so I just thought that would be a really good idea,” he says.

So, in an attempt to explain his reasoning for why the cover looks like that, and why he branded himself, he spoke to the Twitter community and ended up telling us a long story. I edited it slightly from his Tweets so it actually flows like a proper explanation. Interesting story. Pre-order the album now.

Last year, just days before my European tour, I went for my check up and my doc said my blood sugar was elevated from the amount of liquor I was consuming and eating anything & everything. So, I pulled back on pasta again, canceled my reisling wine, that one hurt. I started drinkin red wine in Paris even though I disliked it and came back from Europe and hired a personal trainer. My personal trainer, Matt sanders, gave me shit like synthe 6 & glutamine for protein and cliff bars n shit & tips on how to eat. He started training me for an hr every Monday, Wednesday and Friday so I could grow healthier & stronger. He pretty much saved my life cause the way I drink is like a pirate, mixed liquors and all. Then he said I could drink & eat in moderation! EVERYTHING IN MODERATION he says, so that made me happy.I did this All 6′s & 7′s cover to let my fans know I GAVE a Damn about my life enough to change up my habits a bit, so I could live thru yet another wonderful wave that’s hitting Strange Land right now. The cover was to show progress and let fans know there’s NEW LIFE here in Strange Land. And it starts with their sick and twisted warrior, TECH N9NE! branding himself! Lol! The end. Oh and the only Kool way to expose the markings was a Mike Tyson towel so we stranged it out! Now its the end.
