Spitta is known for doing some of the most random things. According to his Twitter, he woke up and just opted to record an entire five track EP. No particular reason other than it’s nothing to do. Opening track (four minutes and 20 seconds, go figure) was ill. Track two over Kanye’s “Drive Slow” instrumental FTW! For a rush job, this is a pretty good effort. So, uh, here you go.

As a warm-up to his sophomore effort, Respect, coming February 20, Fatal Lucciauno and Jake One got together to give the fans an 11 track EP. The Message came out of the blue and turns out to be a great EP. Fatal and Jake are one hell of a combination. “Drunken Poetry” is easily my favorite joint. Real deep. Get enlightened to the Northwest.

Thelonious has been putting in that work, producing a number of tracks for artist from Jersey to The Chi. Although he said his previous beat tape Super would be his last but as you can see that’s clearly not the case. Check below to see what Thelonious had to say about this project below.

Martin:

I vowed to never drop another beat, but even Michael Jordan came back to the NBA twice. I took some time off to work on upcoming projects with DJ RTC, Vic Mensa, and Action Bronson so 2012 is looking up. Yet, before the year is up I wanted to give a preview of what’s to come. DMNDS includes a few remixes showcasing the talents of the New Jersey crew Tastemakers NJ, and a few unreleased beats. The last beat tape I released ( [Super] ) was in July, and it’s been far too long. So enjoy this small EP with your holiday leftovers and eggnog.

EP: EQ & EK – One Session

Coming off his City Lights EP, EQ linked up with his DJ/producer buddy EK for a pretty ill concept extended play. He spent a week penning these six records (that are ridiculously short) and only one session recording all of them. Beats are on point. Lyrics getting it in. My only complaint is the shortness. Other than that, it’s raw.
