Mixtape: Master P – Al Capone

At one point, a comeback from Master P was anticipated. It was good to see the genius behind No Limit releasing music, only to find out that a couple good tracks turned into an unmemorable mixtape. Hey, he was stumbling back into the game, but it questioned if Percy Miller could successfully do anything in this day and age. Time progressed and he ended up linking with two up and coming rappers: Alley Boy and Fat Trel, foaming the Louie V Mob. Then, he started popping up in studio sessions with all kinds of artists like Game, Nipsey Hussle, Kirko Bangz and more. Okay, the comeback is real.

With his latest offering, Al Capone, Master P blurs the line of age and subject matter. He’ll still rap about smashing broads, getting money and overall just sounding like a younger version of his self. This is both good and bad, though. Much like Juelz Santana, it seems the man who came up from the Calliope projects is just trying to fit in. Maybe that’s just being too critical of him. A Louie V Mob project is on the way (February 12 to be exact), but Al Capone has more than enough features with the three. Outside of that, expect production from 1500 Or Nothin’, Deezle and Young Bugatti.
