Video: SD Exclusive: YG Talks Possible Drake Collab, Influence on the Rap Game, Debut Album & More

YG had a lot to prove in rap during the last four years. His biggest single, "Toot It & Boot It" would've labeled him a one-hit-wonder, but he silenced any naysayers with a strong work ethic. Introducing DJ Mustard to the world, he took to the mixtape scene heavy and ...

Along with the dope new music from the likes of Scarface, Dion Primo, Andre 3000, Gensu Dean, Olivier Daysoul, Hit-Boy, Kid Cudi, Jared Evan, and more, we had a few guests drop by the SNSS studio this week for some important announcements:

  • Many thanks to the Physics for coming by to play a few songs off their upcoming album, Tomorrow People, which is another classic from the crew.  Without exaggeration, these guys make my favorite music from the Northwest and have been doing it consistently for years now.  I can’t recommend checking out their music enough (do so here) and if you’re in Seattle, be sure to come out to Neumos on August 25th for the release party.
  • Thanks as well for The Good Sin dropping by to talk about his upcoming video shoot for one of the standout records from his last album, The Story of Love x Hate.  He’ll be filming visuals for “Gimme Your Love” this Saturday from 12pm – 6pm at Garfield High School and everyone in the city is invited because the shoot doubles as an end of summer BBQ and Stop The Violence party.  We’ve had far too much senseless violence recently in the town and we should all go show our support at the park on Saturday.  You can enjoy the weather, hang out with the homies, play some dominoes/football/basketball, and spread positivity at the same time.  Be there.
  • Shout to DJ Same, Key Nyata, Ant Beezy, and A-Rawlo for dropping by and speaking on their New School Noise event as well.  It’s going down next Sunday at Neumos and if you’re not rocking out to SNSS, you should be there.  More info here.

And after all that, enjoy the music!
